Teacher Websites through Weebly for Education

Project Description:
In this e-learning course you will learn how to create a personalized classroom website utilizing Weebly for Education and learn how to link it to your district provided teacher website, in an effort not to lose content or data that can get lost when districts change their webhost provider. Weebly for Education is a website creator and a hosting application, that will allow you to create a free fully working website with many provided features optimized for the classroom.

Responsibility 2: Design. The candidate will design instruction (or human performance strategies) to meet the needs of learners. Design documents and projects must show evidence of analysis of problem situation, awareness of unique characteristics of intended audience and implications for instruction, selection and implementation instructional strategies consistent with analysis of the learning situation and intended learners, selection and justification of appropriate medias, and evidence of both formative and summative evaluation strategies.

2.1 Demonstrates ability to perform analysis and documentation of instructional need or opportunity resulting in student-centered, performance based instructional objectives based upon, and appropriate for, a specific audience.

2.1 The E-Learning module proposal, presented information on the the instructional objective, sub-goals, and the intended learners, in this case it would be teachers from the Donna Independent School District. It also presents information on the learning environment and context of the instruction.

2.2 The instructional goal has been divided into four subgoals. Each subgoal was then broken down further into specific performance objectives. Each subgoal represents a lesson in the E-Learning module.

2.3 The Instructional goal is divided into four sub-goals, this allows for the the instruction to be implemented easier. The training itself was developed in a webpage, which the learners could access asynchronously.

2.4 In order to evaluate the quality of the instruction each lesson will include a discussion question that is related to the topic and will serve as a basis for a critical thinking assessment. Quizzes are made up of 10 questions, including: True/False and Multiple Choice questions. Quizzes are aligned with the lesson goal and objectives and will serve to evaluate the learners understanding of the lesson.

2.5 Demonstrates ability to use formative evaluations for iterative assessments of components of the design process.

2.5 The assessments created in this module, were targeted towards classroom teachers. All the assessments are at the appropriate skill level.
The data obtained from the evaluations will serve as a basis to modify and make revisions of the assessment methods and questions.

Responsibility 3: Development, Utilization and Management. The candidate will develop, utilize and manage a variety of media and instructional technologies to deliver instruction to students.

3.1 The media used, in the creation of my instructional unit was Course Sites, as the instructional host site. Weebly, Screencast-O-Matic: screen recording software These tools provided the all the necessary functions for the instructional unit.

3.2 The Dick & Carey instructional design model and book were the base for the selection and utilization of the technologies for learning incorporated on the instructional unit. |

3.3 The Instructional unit was manage satisfactorily, as all the due dates were met. The instructor provided revisions throughout the course of the instruction, at every phase. |

3.4 The feedback received was positive, there were minor changes that needed to be made and they were for ease of navigation on the website. Other than that the content was all fine.

Responsibility 4: Evaluation. The candidate uses incisive and relevant assessment and evaluation techniques (e.g., product or project which uses formative and/or summative evaluations). Candidate demonstrates the ability to evaluate quality of instructional materials and instructional systems using appropriate methodologies. Candidate also demonstrates the ability to use formative and summative assessment methodologies to ascertain the effectiveness of instruction in meeting instructional goals.

4.4 The E-learning modules and materials were revised as soon as the instructor provided feedback. Modifications were done to improve the the instructional goal and to make sure that all the needs of the learner are met.
